Mercedes-Benz-Blog TRIVIA: Mille Miglia 2011 recalls Rudolf Caracciola's 1931 victory in a Mercedes-Benz
It was back in April 1931 when the famous Mille Miglia was won by a non-Italian contender for the first time in the history of the competition. Rudolf Caracciola, a brilliant, German-born driver, along with his partner, Wilhelm Sebastian, managed to grab the laurels of victory in his Mercedes-Benz SSKL W 06 racing series car after an eventful race.
