Mercedes-Benz is really having troublesome times as they have never learnt from past experience and are still finding it very hard to keep their future projects completely secret until the moment of the premiere. After we were given an unexpected preview of the new SLK and the upcoming SLS AMG Roadster long before the unveiling, now a set o patent design sketches emphasizing the future generation A-Klasse were leaked moments ago. Basically, the new compact Mercedes-Benz model is a substantially toned down version of the concept car that debuted in Shanghai. So, no more starry sky-like radiator grille, but a normal one featuring 2 horizontal slats, no more large wheels displaying a crazy pattern, no more continuous tail lights at the rear and no hatch coupe silhouette – just a plain, rather dull image for the forthcoming A-Klasse – luckily enough, the designers preserved the intricately-styled headlights. We’ve expected more and we are truly convinced about the result. Hopefully, the series version will look differently in flesh. Otherwise…
Check out more leaked patent design sketches after the jump!
