The S-Klasse has always fascinated the car enthusiasts throughout the advanced, pioneering technologycal package and the supreme, sovereign elegance. The ongoing W 221 generation is quickly approaching the end of its career, as the new W 222 model takes the challenge in late 2012, when the car is expected to be officially premiered. Engineers are working at full throttle to test, develop and evaluate each and every of the components and systems which will turn the future S-Klasse into a complete masterpiece, as always happens in the case of the Mercedes-Benz flagship luxury limousine. Among the leading technologies to be introduced on the new car are worth mentioning the improved active & passive safety solutions, the unique MAGIC RIDE CONTROL adaptive ride control and the revolutionary Servo-HMI infotainment system. The engine lineup will consist of powerful, highly-efficient gas and diesel units - the German constructor will also launch several eco-friendly versions, such as the anticipated S 500 PLUG-IN HYBRID model making use of a 3.5 liters V6 petrol powerplant producing 306 hp and an electric motor capable of releasing up to 109 hp.
