PREVIEW: Daimler AG to switch from MOST25 to MOST150 data technology

It looks Mercedes-Benz will implement a new digital system for its next series of models. Precisely, the German carmaker will shift from the current MOST25 to the MOST150 solution. This new physical layer ensures upgraded performance for smooth, quicker data transfer and better interoperability compared to its predecessors: an increased bit rate of up to 150 Mbit/s, a high quality transmission with bit-error rates lower than 10 to the -9, a robust, reliable structure and identical technical basis and similar costs to the MOST25 solution it replaces. Most probably, the first car to benefit from the new MOST150 will be the future generation of the S-Klasse flagship, as the luxury limousine will debut a powerful and forward-looking infotainment system, the Human Machine Interface, and an extensive package of the latest advances in the field of internet-based communications.
