REPORT: Mercedes-Benz BLS coming in 2014
According to a recent report, Mercedes-Benz intends to launch a compact four-dour coupe in 2014. Plans for this model were revealed almost two years ago, when it became the German constructor is prepping a strong offensive of new cars to fit within the C segment. The "smaller" CLS will appearantly receive the BLS title (CLA or CLC are equally possible) and will showcase a new design language, that is currently being mastered by Gorden Wagener's team of skillful artists having the F 800 Style concept as the centrepoint of inspiration. The recipe is simple: keep the same, simple, yet elegant and eye-catching, traditional Mercedes coupe shape and add two extra doors. As the competition is always awake, this niche version will likely attract many into becoming first-time clients of the Stuttgart-based brand and, as the CLS proved back in 2004, will mark a new chapter in the automotive industry in addition to becoming a bestseller of its kind.
