Finally, new spy photos of the forthcoming GL-Klasse have emerged. Currently, prototypes are tested out in cold weather conditions, in the wintry Northern Scandinavia. As seen in the images, the one caught by photographers was wandering around with the new SLS AMG Cabriolet. Set to debut one year after the mid-summer premiere of the new M-Klasse, the 2013 GL-Klasse will boast the same rock-solid exterior design that made it famous, so don't expect a revolution, but more of an evolution. Engineers will add the new large SUV with the entire range of Merc's latest dynamics, safety and communication technologies, in addition to fitting the most powerful and efficient gas and diesel engines under the bonnet of the next GL. Among the most attractive choice, we mention a 3.0 l V6 diesel unit with 265 hp, the mighty 4.6 l V8 with 435 hp for the GL 500 variant or the anticipated GL 63 AMG, making use of the 5.5 l biturbo V8 producing either 544 hp in standard specification or 571 hp with the AMG Performance Package installed.
