SPY - 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Klasse FL
Several Limousine and T-Modell prototype of the revamped C-Klasse were spotted sitting patiently in the yard of the Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen factory. The cars were merely camouflaged: only the headlamps, tail lights and, in some cases, the front bumper, were hidden under black tape. The Stuttgart-based carmaker will unveil the new C-Klasse Facelift models at next month's Detroit Auto Show. However, we expect the first official details and photos to be released in the next weeks, prior to the event. We already know that the top-of-the-range C 350 CGI BlueEFFICIENCY will be powered by the new direct-injection, petrol V6 engine, boasting a peak output of 306 hp, whereas the C 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY version will use the 3.0 litres diesel V6 unit, capable of 265 hp. The 6208 cc V8 powerplant will appearantly be discontinued, as the AMG variants of the new C-Klasse are destined to receive the new 5.5 liters biturbo V8 under their bonnets.
