Ahead of next week's official debut of the new M-Class, the reputed German racing driver Ellen Lohr took the new SUV out for a ride on both tarmac and rough terrain, at the invitation of Mercedes-Benz. She describes the third generation of the 4x4 as a very agile vehicle, with a good dose of progressive dynamism that can offer either a smooth, comfortable run or a sports-oriented trip. During the offroad trail, held on the hills of Bieberach, Ellen Lohr emphasized the car's ability to pass even the most unpenetrable obstacles a normal SUV would simply give up, thanks to the enhanced 4MATIC platform and the new AWD management system with multiple settings. All in all, the final conclusion after the testdrive was that the new Mercedes-Benz M-Class is indeed a huge leap ahead of its direct competitors in terms of road performance, offroad capability, versatility, efficiency, build quality and overall attractiveness.
