SPY - 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Klasse
These spy shots revealing a mildly-camouflaged Mercedes-Benz M-Klasse test prototype were captured on a highway in North America. As the car lost some of its cladding, the future generation ML boast a very dynamic side profile, with a muscular shoulder line and an elongated rear overhang. The front fascia will likely be another tough point of the new SUV, sporting a beefy, but polished stance throughout its impressive three-slat grille and the teardrop-shaped LED headlights. Expect a new range of assistance technologies for ensuring improved on-road and off-road capabilities as well as a completely rehauled engine lineup comprising frugal, yet powerful diesel and petrol units, including the spectacular modular V6 and V8 powerplants. Moreover, in the forthcoming years, Mercedes-Benz engineers will be readying "green" versions for the new M-Klasse, such as efficient BLUETEC and full-hybrid variants. There's also a slight possibility the 2012 ML will be premiered earlier than programmed, next month at the New York Motor Show or at the Shanghai Auto Salon.
